Adopt an AI Policy

hello! this issue is a bit meta, not necessarily about the code itself but rather how that code is written

I am calling for this project, like many others to adopt a no-ai policy, whether that be an outright ban of everything, or a more lenient ban of AI-generated code while allowing it for i.e translation.

Note: I am who maintains that list, and I have an interest in expanding that list, but am not financially motivated and am not getting paid by anyone to make this issue

Generative AI (the likes of LLMs and such) might speed up some things but simply are not accurate (see https://github.com/glfw/glfw/issues/2803) and can often introduce bugs. In addition, its continued use fuels many at-best-unethical practices that AI companies are pursuing, like increased pollution and such from building datacenters[^1].

So, I would kindly ask this project to adopt a policy on the issue. As some pointers, GitHub lets you weave this right into the Pull Request workflow, with PR Templates
