Samsung S24+ not recognized on macOS 26 Tahoe (Apple M4 Pro) — MTP device shows 0 items

Describe the bug

Samsung Galaxy S24+ is not being recognized by OpenMTP v3.2.25 on macOS 26 Tahoe (26.1) running on a MacBook Pro 16-inch (Nov 2024) with Apple M4 Pro chip.

The Mac-side file system panel loads correctly, but the phone panel shows "Phone - 0 item (0 directory, 0 file)" with the FAQ error message "FAQS - MY PHONE IS NOT CONNECTING!". The phone is never detected regardless of refresh attempts.

Environment:

• macOS version: Tahoe 26.1
• Mac model: MacBook Pro 16-inch, Nov 2024, Apple M4 Pro
• OpenMTP version: v3.2.25
• Phone model: Samsung Galaxy S24+
• USB cable: Replaced with a confirmed data-capable USB-C cable

Steps already taken (none resolved the issue):

1. Reviewed and followed all steps in Issue #276
2. Fully uninstalled Samsung Smart Switch
3. Replaced USB-C cable with a data-capable one
4. Quit all conflicting apps: OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, Preview
5. Ran sudo killall -9 ptpcamerad and disabled it via sudo launchctl disable gui/$(id -u)/com.apple.ptpcamerad
6. Disabled USB Hotplug detection in OpenMTP Settings
7. Switched between Kalam Mode and Legacy Mode — neither worked
8. Confirmed phone USB mode is set to File Transfer (MTP)

Expected behavior: Samsung S24+ should be detected and its file system should be accessible in the phone panel.

Actual behavior: Phone panel remains empty with 0 items. No device is detected. The MTP session never opens successfully.
