[2.0] Improve brightness detection syncing

With the addition of skellysync and importing videos in #868, I have not yet been able to get brightness syncing working properly. @ajc27-git has already mentioned that multiple brightness changes (flicking the switch on and off repeatedly) can mess up the syncing, which I ran into. However, a single brightness change (just turning the lights on), also didn't work for me.

While we are going to merge in the syncing code, I'm creating this as a note for improvements on this feature that we can look into, and also if anyone else would like to test and see if they can get the brightness syncing working properly, that would be great!
