Keyboard input for all form question types

A form I was taking contained a few questions where I had to enter a date or select a country from a long list. Unfortunately, I couldn't fill them out by just typing the answer directly. Instead I had to painstakingly click | scroll through them until I found the answers I was looking for.

Describe the solution you'd like

Calendar entry widgets should accept typing the date in. Similarly, long lists of radio buttons (or checkboxes) should be searchable so that one can type the correct answer and easily select it. And for other types of questions, where reasonable one should be able to fill them out by simply typing the answer.
