Add an in-thread translation option for comments

DEV has a global community, but conversations can become difficult to follow when comments are written in a language the reader does not understand.

Currently, if someone comments in Hindi, German, Spanish, or another language, readers generally have to leave DEV and use an external translation tool. This creates friction and can cause useful contributions to be skipped entirely.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add an optional one-click "Translate" action to comments, allowing readers to translate an individual comment into their preferred language without leaving the discussion.

Ideally, the same functionality could eventually be extended to post content as well.

The translation should be opt-in rather than automatically translating every comment, so the original language and author's wording remain intact.

Describe alternatives you've considered

• Copying the comment into an external translation service.
• Using browser-level translation for the entire page.
• Asking the commenter to provide an English translation.

These alternatives work, but they add friction and are particularly inconvenient in active discussion threads.

The goal is not to automatically translate the entire conversation, but to make individual multilingual contributions accessible with minimal friction.
