Unable to update via an AppImage manager

Observed behaviour
I am unable to find updates using AppManager even when the Fluxer AppImage itself shows an update is available
Reproduction steps
- Open AppManager
- Click check for updates
- Does not find update
- Open fluxer
- Shows update available for Fluxer AppImage
