[Request]: Surface snapping toggle, pivot and current method
Description
As it stands in 1.12 when placing objects in a scene - be it a prefab, a mesh or skinned meshes - they are placed automatically based on whatever method is currently used. Looks like it's using a method of finding the lowest point on a model and placing it based on that + the pivot. This means when placing an object it will "sit" fairly correctly on the surface of whatever you drag-and-dropped it onto. This is perfect for fast leveldesign and object placement but it will be a pain for meshes that have things sticking into the ground, especially if it's already set up with a carefully placed pivot in mind.
A toggle, and/or even hotkey for drag-and-drop placement based on pivot would be a good addition in these cases.
Benefits
Beneficial for quickly placing meshes that do not benefit from the current method of object placement, such as trees with roots, bridges with concrete foundations, buildings with foundations, etc etc.
