Possible plot hole in "Ka'het: Patir Mystery 12.2B"

Problem Description

During this mission, Dusk tells you to use your sidearm to shoot at the Fetri'sei, so that it will ping it's shield data which Dusk will use as a signal for the team to exfiltrate. The problem with that, is that shields do not work in the Patir galaxy.

Desired Solution

Adjust the lines so that they monitor it's hull integrity sensors, and impact sensors, ANYTHING else that does not relate to a non functional system.

Alternative Approaches

Remove the shield negating property from the galaxy?
