#22893 git-remote-https hanging at 99% CPU on fetch

The problem

I'm constantly seeing the git-remote-https process hang at 99% on fetch, force quitting the process and running it again resolves the issue:

Click Fetch origin
Github desktop freezes on fetching
Force quit process, try again and it usually works.

Additional context

I've tried the following: Deleted the following files:

~/.gitconfig ~/.config/git/config ~/.config/git/ignore ~/.gitignore_global (or whatever core.excludesfile points to) ~/.git-credentials (only if credential.helper was set to store) /Applications/GitHub Desktop.app ~/Library/Application Support/GitHub Desktop ~/Library/Preferences/com.github.GitHubClient.plist ~/Library/Caches/com.github.GitHubClient ~/Library/Caches/com.github.GitHubClient.ShipIt ~/Library/Saved Application State/com.github.GitHubClient.savedState ~/Library/Logs/GitHub Desktop

I've then moved my GitHub repos to a storage location and re-synced 2 repos. Issue occurs again, even happening on the initial fetch for one repo. Killing process and trying again is successful.
