Execution freezes permanently at random times during prolonged parsing sessions

I have just recently started using playwright + cаmoufox as a driverless selenium alternative for advanced captcha bypassing. I have developed 2 parsers and ran into the same bug in both of them. They are supposed to run for days, but after a certain (semingly random) periods of time the code would freeze.

Environment:

  • Debian 13
  • Python 3.13.5
  • Camoufox 0.5.5
  • Xvfb virtual display (is started separately, not headless="virtual") (running in headful mode does not seem to affect the issue)

Py-spy dumps show that the main subprocess thread stays locked at playwright/sync_api/_context_manager.py:56:

Process 386730: python rs-online.py
Python v3.13.5 (/usr/bin/python3.13)

Thread 386730 (idle): "MainThread"
    select (selectors.py:452)
    _run_once (asyncio/base_events.py:2004)
    run_forever (asyncio/base_events.py:683)
    run_until_complete (asyncio/base_events.py:712)
    greenlet_main (playwright/sync_api/_context_manager.py:56)

I am using concurrent.futures.ProcessPoolExecutor for multiprocessing. browser is only created and used within its process. Having it as a global variable does not seem to affect the issue.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a reliable way to reproduce the bug. It occurs randomly, or at least I have not realized the pattern yet. I am conducting my own research and would provide new details if I find something.

I have noticed that active usage of page.mouse.move seems to greatly increase the chance of the bug occurring.

It is worth noticing that those websites are protected by DataDome (mouser.pl) and Akamai (pl.rs-online.com).

Please feel free to ask for any extra details if needed.
