Will there be an election or what's the plan?

As per the "Changes in Project Steering Committee Membership" chapter from GOVERNANCE.md:

The PR should be opened no earlier than 6 weeks before the end of affected committee member's term. The PR should be kept open for no less than 4 weeks.

Personally I'd love to apply - but we're past the previous term and not necessarily an option to have a PR open for no less than 4 weeks, unless it's agreed upon I guess?
