Not supporting truecolor, unsurprisingly

Of course, since this project is over a decade old, it doesn’t support truecolor. I tried to use gradient-string and terminal-image but many colors do not render properly. Any hints or breakthroughs to solve this problem? I am considering to move my project to ink, which is not so appetizing.
