MVP Components for Private Preview

Overview

This epic covers the work to bring a core set of components up to MVP quality for private preview. These are components that are ubiquitous across IBM software products — they show up everywhere — and because of that, they also have downstream impact across the rest of the system. Getting the foundational treatment right on these components pays off broadly.

Scope

The work here focuses on applying consistent treatment across these components in the areas of:

Design intent 1.0 - border styling for inputs and corner radius Design intent 2.0 - inset circular button styling Design intent 3.0 - AI styling Design intent 4.0 - Fluid input styling

Not in scope

Design intent 5.0 - Component cordination (Menu items, Card groups, Notification stack, Accordions, Options Tile, Contained list) Design intent 6.0 - Independent component study (Cards and Dialogs, Tabs, Data table, Structured list (?)) Design intent x.0 - there'll be more things to tackle, Rich has largely outlined these many so far
