Call for Project Ideas: Cadence Roadmap / 2027

Hi Cadence community!

We’re collecting ideas about 2027 and would love to hear from the community.

If there are features, improvements, integrations, tooling, documentation, or larger projects that you would like to see in Cadence, please share your ideas here.

What we're looking for

Ideas can be anything that would make Cadence more useful, easier to operate, or easier to build with. For example:

• New Cadence features or capabilities
• Improvements to scalability, performance, reliability, or efficiency
• Developer experience and SDK improvements
• Operational tooling and observability
• Integrations with other systems and technologies
• UI, administration, or debugging tools
• Documentation and examples
• Cloud-native and Kubernetes improvements
• Projects that would make Cadence easier to adopt or migrate to
• Larger or more experimental ideas

How to contribute

Please open a comment with:

Project / Idea:
A short name for your idea.

Problem / Motivation:
What problem would this solve? Who would benefit from it?

Proposal:
A brief description of what you would like to see.

Additional context:
Links, existing implementations, use cases, or anything else that might help us understand the idea.

You don't need to have a complete design or implementation plan. Early-stage ideas are welcome.

We’ll use the ideas and feedback from this discussion as input when shaping the upcoming Cadence roadmap and identifying projects that the community can collaborate on.
