Is it possible to use gamescope with an umu game?

I'm using a window manager (ratpoison) that has very bad support for most games, so i use gamescope to pave over those incompatibilities. I can use gamescope in a regular bottle quite easily, but cannot see any option to use gamescope with umu-launcher.
