Aegis does not request or ask for root

Hello,

On my Google Pixel 10 Fold with Shizuku root service installed, Aegis does not ask for root or seem to request root in any way. Because of this, I am unable to import existing keys/tokens from on-device apps such as Stratum or Authy. These existing on-device apps appear to be supported by Aegis for import but since Aegis does not request root I am UNABLE to import existing keys/tokens. How is this resolved?
