Closing windows doesn't perform BSP re-layout

Hi. For some weeks now yabai hasn't been performing layout after closing a window. I'm currently running from a HEAD release without SIP disabled. I've been on the 27 beta for some time but don't have a clear timeline of when this started to break. Reading through other issue threads, I can't find any similar reports so I'm wondering if it's something specific to my configuration..
