[FEATURE]: OpenCode Go's Advertised 130,000 Monthly Requests Is Nothing but Outright Deceptive Marketing

Author: blakedecCreated Oct 2, 2026Updated Oct 2, 2026

Feature hasn't been suggested before.

  • I have verified this feature I'm about to request hasn't been suggested before.

Describe the enhancement you want to request

I subscribed to the $10 OpenCode Go plan just yesterday. I'm using DeepSeek V4.1 Flash with Claude Code for software development.

After just one day, I've already consumed 20% of my monthly allowance. At this rate, my entire monthly quota will be exhausted in just five days.

Based on my actual token consumption and real-world Claude Code usage, DeepSeek V4.1 Flash may only support a few thousand requests per month, nowhere near the 130,000 requests advertised by OpenCode.

So I have a question for the OpenCode team:

Exactly what usage scenario are you using to calculate your advertised 130,000 monthly requests?

If this figure is based on extremely low token consumption or simple question-and-answer interactions, then why not calculate it using just 3 input tokens and 2 output tokens per request? That way, you could advertise millions of requests per month!

What practical value does such a number actually have?

You prominently advertise 130,000 monthly requests on your homepage without clearly explaining the conditions required to achieve that number. Users subscribe, only to discover that their actual usage is nowhere near what your marketing suggests.

Isn't this simply misleading consumers with a number that has little relevance to real-world usage?

If your advertised allowance can only be achieved under unrealistic, low-token usage scenarios, why don't you clearly disclose that on your homepage instead of using 130,000 requests to attract subscribers?

I believe this kind of marketing is irresponsible and seriously undermines users' trust in OpenCode.

I want a direct answer from the OpenCode team: For developers actually using Claude Code for real software development, what practical value does your advertised 130,000 monthly requests really offer?
