Encoding chokes completely on Nvidia 615.71.09, CachyOS

Tried VR after some months break and it's completely unusable. Stuttering, compression issues, just plain freezes. Both WiFi and wired. Latency graph goes sawtooth from zero to over 1000ms. On AV1 encoder the image goes to full static after a second or so. This used to work, so I am semi-confident it is a driver issue and used to work with 595 or 610 series of drivers. At the moment, I unfortunately cannot test with another driver version.

I've tried different versions of ALVR, older stable, current stable and nightly. All have the same problem. Tried different encoders and fiddled with different encoding settings. Also tried all available SteamVR versions.
