Yes. It's really annoying when doing work while PIP is present and have the mouse bring up the player controls. I just want a video that stays up while I do other things without the mouse having any effect if I so happen to graze my mouse over it.

Add a setting to disable playback controls appearing when the PIP windows is not in focus. Playback controls should only appear if the window is focused.
