I waited 2 days, but I still was getting the above message in Thorium.
Last night I fired up older Chromium Browser(Version 124.0.6367.118 ) and was able to log-in to X.com successfully, which I wasn't able to with Thorium only a few mins. earlier. Then, I logged off from X.com in Chromium and then tried logging in using Thorium(+ Incognito Mode) and I got.
We’ve temporarily limited your login. Please try again later.
Went back to Chromium Browser(Version 124.0.6367.118) and tried logging in to X.com I get
We’ve temporarily limited your login. Please try again later.
Looks like I've been locked out again, due to the usage of Thorium?.
I am confused, earlier there was another report of a user having issues with logging into X.com (https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium/issues/1150).
I will update this further if I get any additional information after my "cooling off" period on X.com ends and I am once again able to log in to file an appeal.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
PS : I typed "x.com thorium browser issues logging in" into Google.com. And Google's AI Overview gives me the following:
Thorium browser login issues on x.com are frequently caused by Cloudflare security checks, overly strict ad-blockers, or outdated browser fingerprints. Because Thorium is a specialized Chromium fork, its non-standard user-agent can sometimes trigger automated restrictions on X.com.
