Comp isn't rendering and file size is too large

Using: AE 17.1.1 (Build 34) Mac Catalina 10.15.6 LottieFiles but I also have tried with Bodymovin Chrome Version 88.0.4324.96 (Official Build) (x86_64)

I'm trying to output a JSON file for a simple animation that I want to use on the homepage of a website. My developer tells me 300kb is the file size I should shoot for in order for it to be viable but the absolute lowest I can get it is 1MB.

A couple issues:

• Currently when I hit "render" it just hangs and loads forever. I'm not sure what is causing this issue and what I can do to remedy. I have tried restarting AE and that didn't work.
• How can I reduce the output file size so my developer will use the file?
