Miniature View should be possible to change into a true Popup Window

The JS Paint Layout can get cramped when, Miniature View overlaps Paint even though my Desktop has another Column of Windows. If i could change Miniature View into a real Popup Window, that would enable this very common and efficient Desktop Layout for Art:
