[Bug] Extremely slow opening small files

Describe the bug

The app hangs for a few seconds when opening very small files (1 ~ 2 KB), it freezes for about a minute opening 50KB files and so on. It's unusable. When I first installed it a few months ago it worked flawlessly but it seems to be getting worse over time.

To Reproduce

Open any .txt file, the larger the file the more it hangs.

Expected behavior

Open immediately like any other text editor, even VSCode opens immediately with much larger files (I have an 80MB bookmarks file and it opens in less than one second.)

The window keeps frozen, can't minimize/maximize/move/close, until it finally loads.

Additional context

I have no issue with any other program, have very fast NVMe with plenty of free space, 32GB of RAM and a Ryzen 7, performance is not an issue.
