Start Grok Bot in an afternoon
Separate Grok, Grok Bot, and Grok Build, then set a safety floor, one bot, a skill, a Routine, and a quota rail.
The full walkthrough is the repo quickstart. This page keeps the order.
Three products
- Grok is the chat assistant.
- Grok Bot is the teammate with a role, a cloud computer, Routines, and Skills.
- Grok Build is the coding CLI.
Suggested order
- Set a safety floor. Sending, paying, deleting, and production changes ask you first.
- Import the first bot from the template marketplace. Do not start from a blank instruction.
- Teach one task you already did by hand. Dry-run it before you leave it alone. See Teach-a-Task.
- Turn on one Routine. Stay quiet when nothing new happened.
- Add a quota rail. If many Routines are already on, run the quota check.
- Add more bots only when the work splits. Hand off by file, and gate publishing. See the war room.
If you already have a bot
- Read the failure notes in grokbot-field-notes.
- For a ready-made team, see botteams.
- To arrange your own team, copy the war room.
- For templates, use the catalog map and open the matching README section.
- To stay off the cloud computer, use the self-hosted section of the catalog.
