Traps

A metric replaces the goal, several people edit one fact, or rules pile up without new information.

A few traps recur in content systems. Naming them beats another tactic.

The metric replaces the goal. The goal was "an answer engine can restate this fact accurately and keep the source." The metric becomes article count, a word in the title, or rank on one sample. Counts rise, facts get thin, restatements go wrong. Put the metric back under the goal. Counts describe flow. They do not show that the stock is citable.

The commons. If nobody owns brand facts, product boundaries, and figures, every channel rewrites its own version. The engine reads contradictory sentences and cites none of them steadily. One record in the fact base has one current value and one owner. Pages read from it. They do not invent a parallel wording.

Rules without information. Gates multiply, and editors still do not know which evidence is missing. A rule that does not say what to add only adds friction. Write every rejection as a gap someone can fill: missing source, missing comparison, missing time range. Not "not GEO enough."

When you see a trap, stop the reinforcing loop first. Pause cloning topics from clicks. Then add a balancing loop: contradictory facts cannot both stay live.
